I always keep a few simple basics on hand for creating low-cost wedding accessories. My two favorite items are ribbon raffia and Mason jars. You can shop for discounts locally or buy online and have the materials delivered right to your door. I found an Amazon supplier that sells 100 yard rolls of raffia for $6.51 -- that works out to about 2 cents per foot. I also buy 1-quart Mason jars online for only $1.21 each. Both are a great bargain in my book. With a Mason jar, a few feet of raffia and some backyard blooms, you can make an easy center piece for less than $1.50 each. Now that's budget friendly.
